We have recently teamed up with "The Shoe that Grows" in the USA to provide the children at Free 2 Be Primary School with these extraordinary shoes. The shoes last for up to 5 years and do exactly what it says on the bag! Can you find it in your heart and "sole" to donate so each child can be free from the risk of "Jiggers" (a flea infestation) and have healthy feet. They cost £13 including delivery from the USA to Kenya if you donate directly to F2B in the UK. You can use the bank details at the bottom of the newsletter and  the reference "Shoes" or follow the link below and donate on the USA site where "the shoe that grows" are collecting donations on our behalf.

A report of a bumper tomato crop being harvested recently came in from our agricultural project at Free 2 Be Tech. The poly-tunnel is earning it’s keep already, as we sell tomatoes to hotels and other businesses in town. Widows and orphans are enjoying tasty tomato soup too!

The computer class is full to capacity with youth eager to learn, the same children 4 years ago didn't have a hope of an education.

We've had a sporty summer of fundraising this year with lots of wonderful volunteers organising a variety of events, here are a few photos of them putting the "fun" in fundraising. More sponsored walks are taking place in Birmingham during September to provide clean water for our widows, if you want to join in, get in touch.

Please get in touch to sponsor Dorothy or to come and join us on the walk.

A word in season.....
Disappointments happen; when they do, try separating the word like this dis...appointment.
You feel let down and like you missed out on something, however the truth is; it was 'not' (dis) your appointment, God has a perfect appointment for you and His timing will be perfect.
Further more, dis....couraged means not having courage or strength; we can be discouraged (weak) when we look at natural circumstances. But God constantly encourages us to believe the best and look for what is good, pure and true. When we do this we will be encouraged by God's love for us and see Him working things out for our good. Consequently we'll be strong and full of "courage" again.

It all starts with what we are believing. The truth is: God loves you, He is for you and is working things around for your good. I hope this truth "encourages" you! If you believe it, it will strengthen you and enable you to overcome dis...appointments.

I Corinthians 2:3-4
What a wonderful God we have: the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our times of disappointment and discouragement. And why does he do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our love and encouragement, we can pass on to them this same help and comfort God has given us.
Donate

As many of you know EVERY penny of your donations go to Kenya to be used directly on a specific project. We are one of very few charities which has a 100% policy, meaning NOTHING is taken from the gifts you give to Free 2 Be. That's right, absolutely nothing! Not flights or travel expenses, wages, administration costs such as printing or office expenses. Making Free 2 Be  so incredibly 100% effective. We believe in absolute transparency and good stewardship of that which you entrust us with.
